Paper Submissions
If you wish to submit a paper for inclusion in the workshop proceedings, the deadline for submitting your paper is 19 May. You can submit a short (2 page) position paper, or a longer (6 page) paper. Papers will be peer reviewed before acceptance. You will receive notification of acceptance or rejection by 31 May 2017. Please refer to for all the submission details.

Our aim for the paper submissions is to build the body of knowledge and research around improvisational creativity, particularly improvisation that involves people and computers. We strongly encourage authors to ensure their paper addresses the workshop themes and clearly articulates a position on improvisational creativity, rather than being a descriptive documentation of an individual practice.

Performance Evening Submissions
As part of the workshop we will have a live performance evening on Thursday, 20th July, from 5.30 – 7.30pm. This will take place on the outdoor terrace that is part of the Monash Prato Centre. The technical setup for performances will consist of a stereo PA with mixing desk and foldback speakers. We are also able to provide single channel video projection. We are not able to provide any further technical equipment to support the performance of your work, so you will need to work within these constraints.

As the focus of the workshop is on improvisation we ask you to make clear how your performance addresses human-machine improvisation in your submission. Due to the number of proposed performances we ask that you limit your performance to a maximum of 10 minutes duration.
